At the Planning Committee meeting of West Wilts District Council this evening the new Asda store was approved in principle. Unfortunately this does not mean that work can start on developing the new store as the plans must now be approved by the Secretary of State.
I am delighted that the store has been given the go-ahead by the council and look forward to seeing the benefits of this £25m development to the town. Planners will be meeting again on 19th February to clarify the conditions of the approval, and then the whole case will need to be passed to governement inspectors for final approval by the Secretary of State.Leave a comment
