Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg and Shadow Chancellor Vince Cable visited Melksham again this week when they met up with local Prospective MP Duncan Hames and Melksham Councillor Jon Hubbard.
The group visited local business Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems (UK) Ltd in Bowerhill. Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems are a manufacturer of state of the art breaking systems for trains and monorails. Nick and Vince met staff and toured the new site that employs over 350 people at the Wiltshire factory with Knorr- Bremse Managing Director, Paul Goodhand. The visit gave them the opportunity to see how businesses have faired during the recession and to see how state of the art manufacturing can contribute to a green road out of it and build a sustainable manufacturing future.Leave a comment
