Newly elected MP for the Chippenham constituency which includes Melksham, Duncan Hames, has said a big thank you to everyone who supported him in the recent election.
Speaking to Focus, Duncan said “One of my priorities for the constituency is to press hard to secure improvements to rail services in Melksham. I have already made contact with the Go Cooperative to learn more about their open access proposal for a track through Melksham. I am determined to get a good result for local people.
“I am immensely grateful to everybody who voted for me and I appreciate that in voting to elect Wiltshire’s first Liberal Democrat MP they have given us a chance. It is important however, for people who voted otherwise to know that I will work hard to represent them and their interests.”Leave a comment
